Walking in Norway with HF
Day 1, Easy Walk (16 Aug 2010)
Oppheimsvatnet
7 miles, 950 ft of ascent.
We took a short minibus ride down the valley to Oppheim. We walked alongside the lake and then crossed the main road to take the Kongeveg, which is the ancient route taken by the royal mail (see below for more info). This took us back to our hotel. Cathy was our leader.
The weather was perfect and with no wind, the surface of the lake was like glass. We start with a picture postcard shot taken a few metres from the drop off point.
Jordalen
10 miles, 1090 ft of ascent.

This walk started at the small school (5 pupil!) in Jordalen and also ended back at the hotel in Stalheim. Sandy lead the walk.
