Holton cricket club, in its current form, played its first game on 27 August 1977. For a brief history of the club, click this link. Towards the end of 2008, the club changed its official name to Holton and Wheatley to fairly reflect the location of the home ground and origin of many of the local team members. For convenience, Holton may still be used as an abbreviation for
